Foyle suffered a terrible defeat to Dumbarton in their opening league fixture of the 2nd Division.

This was a well deserved result for Dumbarton who were also promoted from the 3rd Division along with Auchenfoyle.  Unlike Foyle, Dumbarton showed a togetherness and a tremendous level of fitness which is required for this season in the 2nd Division. 

Foyle were second to every tackle, argued with themselves, the referee and the opposition for the vast majority of the game and looked generally unfit...despite looking fairly sharp during pre-season.  This is a major wake up call to the entire team with no exception.  Nobody could say they had anywhere near a good game on Saturday and will have to do a lot better or this season will be a major struggle to collect any points.
